Mapping and understanding field size dynamics in Sub-Saharan Africa (F.R.S.-FNRS PDR, 2021-2023).

LULCC Impact of the Sorghum and Millet Upscaling Project in Mali (CGIAR – Biodiversity International Standing Panel on Impact Assessment (SPIA), 2020-2023), project on Impact Assessment of food crop intensification program on tree cover in Sikasso region, Mali. UCLouvain funded through a subgrant from the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO).

Subcontracts as part of Trase initiative (TRAsparency for Sustainable Economies) (2020-2025). Several subcontracts from Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), funded by FORMAS, Moore Foundation, NORAD, QCF, for works on supply chains transparency and sustainability, including through the SUSTAIN-COCOA and Do Pasto ao Prato projects.

Completed projects

MIDLAND (ERC Starting Grant, 2016-2022), “Developing middle-range theories linking land use displacement, intensification and transitions”. The project investigates the emerging agricultural frontier of Southern African dry forests and savannas, and its linkages with distant places.

COUPLED (E.U. Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action ITN, 2018-2022), “Operationalising telecouplings for solving sustainability challenges related to land use”.
